Special Events to "Howl" About
Our students shined and dazzled the audience with their many talents at our Mt. Tabor Talent Show. We know we have extraordinary students at our school, but now we have a deeper appreciation of all of their talents. It was a wonderful evening and it could not have been possible without the support and collaboration of our staff, committee chairs and parent volunteers. Thank you to the many family, friends and alumni that came out to support our students.
Mt. Tabor Salutes Our Veterans
Our fourth and fifth graders had the opportunity to hear Sergeant Hjalmar Johansson, a first generationSwedish American. He was just 17 years old when he volunteered for theUS Army Air Corps. His first mission was as a nose gunner on a B-24bomber. His plane was shot down by the Germans. He was then capturedand spent six months in Nazi camps. He is currently 90 years old andthe only surviving member of his bomb group. Students enjoyed hearinghim speak about his experiences as well as looking at memorabilia fromthe war.
