I realize that you may be struggling with the ways in which students attend school this year.  As the School Counselor, I am here to support you in any way I can.  Please know that I can assist students both in person and remotely with social, emotional, and academic concerns.  While we may not physically be in school full time, I am accessible by email and phone, and can  plan a time to discuss any concerns you may have.

Ms. O'Connell

Meet the School Counselor

My name is Ms. Kelsey O'Connell, and I am SO excited to be the new school counselor at Mt. Tabor School! I graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Psychology and moved on to get my M.A. in Counseling with a specialization in School Counseling from Caldwell University. I am currently working towards becoming a Behavior Analyst through Florida Institute of Technology. There are so many things I love about being a school counselor, but my favorite one is being able to help students be the best that they can be in all aspects each and every day! In addition to my role as the school counselor at Mt. Tabor, I am also the anti-bullying specialist, Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) chairperson and the coordinator of 504 plans. When I am not at Mt. Tabor being a school counselor, I work as a Behavior Technician working with children on the Autism Spectrum, providing behavior analysis services. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, friends, and my two dogs, Cooper and Lily. I also enjoy drinking coffee, reading a good mystery book, playing games, listening to music, and going to the beach! Communication is key so please do not hesitate to reach out via phone and/or email with any questions and/or concerns. Please check out my virtual school counseling office for more information and resources for both students and parents/guardians. Just click around on various objects, books and images throughout and it will take you to different links! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
