Counseling

I realize that you may be struggling with the new and unprecedented ways in which students will attend school this upcoming year. As the School Counselor, I am here to support you in any way I  can.  Please know that I can assist students both in person and remotely with social, emotional, and academic concerns. While we may not physically be in school full time, I am accessible by email and phone, and can plan a time to discuss any concerns you may have.

GUIDANCE

Mrs. Cieri

Meet the Counselor

I am  Maxine Cieri, school counselor at Mt. Tabor  Elementary School.  I have worked in the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District for over 20 years.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education at Kean University and  my Masters Degree at Boston University.  Before becoming a counselor, I was a second grade teacher in Brockton, Massachusetts and a fourth grade teacher in Newark, New Jersey.   In addition to being the counselor, I am also the anti-bullying specialist, chairperson for the Intervention and Referral Committee and coordinator of 504 plans. I am dedicated to assisting the students of Mt. Tabor at reaching their highest potential socially, emotionally, and of course academically. I have been at Mt. Tabor School for twenty-two years and feel lucky that I get to work with amazing students, families, and staff each day!

I love spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and reading my favorite books!

Do you know that there are many ways to see my counselor,
Mrs. Cieri?

1. I can ask to go to her office.
2.
My teacher can send me.
3.
You can ask that I go.
4.
Mrs. Cieri can invite me to visit.

THE DOOR IS ALWAYS OPEN TO MRS. CIERI'S OFFICE!
